I am a woman of 14 siblings (6 brothers and 8 sisters). I was raised in the church and attended private and public school. Having said that, my mentality was never average and widely expanded throughout my adolescent years. Growing up as a young child, all I ever wanted to do was play, no matter where, how, or when naps and restroom breaks were out of the question, Go, Go, Go, was all I ever knew. At times it would get me in trouble, but on the other hand it would offer me opportunities no one else received. My parents separated when I was 15 months old, so the traditional household was not my experience. Being raised by one parent gives one a different dynamic. My mother, Linda Wright, pushed me beyond all expectations and from that I learned to be relentless and unstoppable. Limiting factors were not allowed in my household. Since the age of 6, I have competed in every sport you can think of from Gymnastics, Tae Kwon Do,Track and Field, Basketball, even Rugby and so on.

In June 2015, USA Rugby announced the biggest history assembly for a scouting chance to become an Olympian. More than 200 athletes from all over were chosen to compete and train based on their performance to experience the pathway to becoming a USA Women's Eagle. This is the highest level of competition over two weeks to  determine your future in the rugby world. This lifetime opportunity terrified me for the simple fact this happened to me the first year of playing rugby. I was intimidated and inexperienced in my head. Rugby was born the year of 1823 in England.

The year of October 1994 I was born, and never had I heard of rugby until August of 2013. In all my years of playing every sport that was known to humankind according to me, then boom, there is a chance to represent the United States playing the sport of Rugby. This sport swept me off my feet in just one year. Quickly I psyched myself out mentally and nothing was present in me. My performance overall was below my potential.

To be honest, once I finally reached the

National All Star Rugby Competition,

I stopped showcasing the unique organic skills and confidence that got me chosen  to compete against the top 200  Rugby women competitors  from around the nation in the first place. I say all this to say there is nothing like the present time once you put into yourself daily inside and out. No matter what occurs you will always be ready mentally and physically. Fitness saved my life and self love. Now not only am I equipped but my belief of my ability to play any sport on any level ensures me that I can do anything that my heart desires, which is an undeniable fact because my day to day steps proves so.
